- Criminal Complaint for warrant, for a Cash Advance?

I got a cash advance from this company online about 7 months ago. I have talked to them about making payments, but I havent made them yet. I got an email from them the other day titled "Criminal Complaint for warrant (draft)" It has a Warrant attached and says if I dotn pay by a certain day I will be jailed. Can these collection agencys put me in jail if I cant pay it all? Has anyone else gotten a cash advance online and had problems paying?? HELP I'm afraid!!!!!!!!!

My husband had a check stolen from his check book and all of the sudden their was a cash advance that came in and then it was gone again. In this process they took a payment and he closed the checking account. We have switched banks but the problem who ever stole this check knew all of his information and now we are recieveing harrassing e-mails from them. We have already explained to them that it was a case of stolen identity and that we were not going to pay for something that we did not do. MTE Financial told us that it was placed in our checkin account and they would find our new one and debit it from there. Is there any thing we can do about this??
